Former Phillies catcher Darren Daulton, a member of the 1993 National League championship team, has been told by doctors that he has a pair of brain tumors and is scheduled for surgery next week, according to a statement released by 97.5 The Fanatic. Darren Daulton has not been feeling well over the past two weeks. He went to the doctor who discovered two brain tumors and is scheduled for surgery early next week. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family at this difficult time. I listen to him on the phanatic after work sometimes hate it had to be him and they say 1 of the tumors is inoperable

Its nuts...I was listening to him just a week ago...he was slurring his words, not making a lot of sense...I turned it off cause I thought he was drunk, and I was embarrassed for him. I hope surgery goes good

Daulton was the man.As a Braves fan i always hated that phillies team with dykstra and daulton but respected the hell out them.Hope he pulls through.

This truly saddens me.

Dutch is one of the best people on that station and is an incredibly nice guy. Got to kick it with him before and the stories he told were remarkable...hope he pulls through.
