Long story short, Islamic name meets custom nightmare and my lovely Jamaican vacay with the wifey is off to a shyt start

I missed my flight and will be forced to spend the night in Philly. I got a hotel near the airport.

First time visiting the city. Will be in town for 5 pm and have to catch a flight the next day.

What's the best option for us to do? Is the airport near the city core? If not, should we cab it into the city or take public transportation? What's a good place we can go for some good ole fashioned Philly cheese steaks? A good spot for me and the wifey to have a few drinks?

Will wearing my Blue Jays fitted and Bautista jersey be an open invite to engage in fisticuffs with the local faithful? What spots should I avoid? What's a good spot for me and the wifey to walk around and enjoy the city

Ain't trying to break the bank here too. :whoa:

Any help would be much appreciated and returned in kind

take public transportation, the train, into "center city" which is our downtown. cab/bus it to like 2nd and South street and you can walk up South street and look at shyt that looks interesting. and also if you walk up more Chestnut street has a bunch of restaurants and bars all down it. Jim's is a place a lot of tourists go for steaks I think, it's on 4th and South. I know a better place but I couldn't send any random Canadian into North Philly in good faith.

Damn much love bro, great info.

I wouldn't mind venturing out and about but I'm with the wife so I gotta exercise some caution

Thanks again

The airport is all the way south of the city. The core of the city (Non-hood Night life) is really Old City which is not too far from North Philly. Don't robbed by a bunch of Mike Knox looking ass niiggas while some Freeway looking niiggas steals ya biitch. :wow:

How long is the train ride from the airport to south street? And how much is the fare?

Check this link breh

SEPTA | Welcome To SEPTA | Philadelphia International Airport

the Regional Rail will take you to center city catch a cab to 2nd and south like someone said before

.... Jims steaks is on South Street and should fill the requirement for a classic Philly Cheesesteak spot... there are lots of stores and places to eat and have a drink along the way.

You should be good wearing your jersey... most people don't care.

Do I have to cab it to south street once I get to The center city or is it walkable?
