as someone who's lived here for the past 2 years, I'll say this...
the good
it's great for young professionals that wanna live comfortably on an affordable budget
great location as far as being right between DC and NY
good for people with laidback personalities who find NY too overwhelming or obnoxious.
great place for museums
great place for restaurants
great place for concerts
great summertime city, especially Rittenhouse, the museum district and Northern Liberties
great sports bars
the bad
bars close at 2
if you have a whip, finding parking in the city is annoying as hell, plus Philly drivers are TERRIBLE
some beautiful parts of the city, but a lot of dirty disgusting parts as well
aside from Center City, you don't really wanna be in any other areas in Philly
club scene is lacking compared to other big cities, though there are a few cool spots if you look hard enough
