as someone who's lived here for the past 2 years, I'll say this...

the good
it's great for young professionals that wanna live comfortably on an affordable budget

great location as far as being right between DC and NY

good for people with laidback personalities who find NY too overwhelming or obnoxious.

great place for museums

great place for restaurants

great place for concerts

great summertime city, especially Rittenhouse, the museum district and Northern Liberties

great sports bars

the bad

bars close at 2

if you have a whip, finding parking in the city is annoying as hell, plus Philly drivers are TERRIBLE

some beautiful parts of the city, but a lot of dirty disgusting parts as well

aside from Center City, you don't really wanna be in any other areas in Philly

club scene is lacking compared to other big cities, though there are a few cool spots if you look hard enough

the ugly

the women here are :scusthov: and their attitudes are horrible

You may be right, you can get downtown apartments for under 1k and you have 24/7 subways. If the nightlife is killing you, you can always spend a weekend in NY.

:childplease:

Subways stop at Midnight, and please show me an apt in CC for under 1k. You can live in one of the neighboring areas for that price, but not within downtown.

Visit there a lot and would definitely move there if a job in my company opened there :obama:

Northern Liberties bar scene is :ahh: if you can stomach the hipsters

yeah, I don't know what dude is talking about with the 24/7 subways. and you're right about Center City though there are other areas that are decent and affordable. Wynnefield Heights near the mainline is pretty nice and not too expensive. same with University City.

And you could find an apartment in center city for less than a stack, its definately possible..it may be a studio or small loft type of place but they are around...

I spent a weekend in Phily. The City Center was cool. Other parts are :scusthova: though. I went to a strip club in one of the sketchier parts of town and they had a security guard wearing a ski mask walking around with an assault rifle.

This nikka was like Jason Bourne. He was fukking up alot of dudes who got kicked out of the club and or were talking shyt.
