Yup. I’m from Pittsburgh. We have our hoods of black people. But outside of them it’s nothing but a bougie West Virginia.

Facts. I had to cover some Trump and Pence rallies in 2016 for my job, basically went on a road trip from Philly to Pittsburgh and I was :ohhh: at how country the rest of Pennsylvania was.

PA is very rural outside of Philly and Pittsburgh and Trump got a very strong following among those country cac’s. :francis:

I've lived in the Delaware Valley area all my life (South Jersey, born in Camden). And I didn't realize how true this was until last election when I actually travelled to Western PA.

I don't give a shyt how many people showed up at the protests. It's gonna be a straight war winning PA, Trump zeolots have the western side of PA on lock.

I'm not a fan of Biden in the least and I all but checked out of the election cycle once Bernie dropped out, but I will say Biden having such close ties to Scranton will hopefully come into play there.

I remember driving from NYC to Pittsburgh on I-95 going out to I-78 and I went to South Jersey to get some drinks and gas.

I stop at a supermarket in this area near the highway...all these white people just stop and look at me like they gonna kill me.

:mjpls:

Needless to say, that's when I realized Jersey got it's backwater hicks and racists galore...I was ju9st used to visiting family in Newark and never really ventured outside of area closest to NYC.
and they love to parade the confederate flag on their pickup trucks.

If you were a visitor from another planet, you'd swear you were in the deep south.

Everybody was wearing masks. They were passing out hand sanitizer to everyone. Still a risk, but some shyt is worth it. It ain't like we were protesting barbershops not being open lol. I'm still self-isolating and getting tested anyway

word. i'll try to slide to the next one. where is the information posted?

It's random, it's kind of a word of mouth social media thing. I found out about this one and last Saturday's by just searching on Facebook. Both started at noon at the Art Museum then we marched to City Hall. But every day they have some type of protest, hard to keep track of all of them. But most likely next Saturday will be the same. Noon at the Art Museum then a march
