Melo wants a chip. He's a competitor at the end of the day. Plus by winning chips you increase your brand. With that being said Melo can be forced out. All NY has to do is publicly humiliate him, bench him or threaten to cut him. Melo is sensitive he will be on that first plane to Maimi if we tell him to fuk off.

, hammys are complicated at times. He is still 2x the athlete Melo is and im willing to bet he averages more points than Melo by the end of the season. he is having a MUCH better season INDIVIDUALLY so far. It is what it is, melo is my nikka but I cant excuse his teams record right now. They may be at 500 if he did something other than score or if he knew how to run a P&R.

. You can come with the "the triangle is not about P&R" but he has never been good at it no matter what system (especially with STAT still being the best finisher off the roll). Wade does everything for his team on and off the court. Melo needs to step up on and off the court.

It may take a small miracle for Carmelo Anthony to end up in the playoffs this season and similarly it may take a minor miracle for the Knicks franchise player not to land on an operating table at some point.
According to a source, Anthony has been playing with left knee soreness for much of the season and the fear is that it may require surgery to correct.Following Tuesday’s loss at New Orleans, Anthony admitted that he’s playing with pain and hinted that he may need time off to rest.
“At this point, it’s evaluating and seeing," Anthony said. “Some days are better than others. It’s a matter if I want to continue to play on it and the pain threshold. The flip side to that is we are losing games. I hate it, I hate to sit on the sidelines and watch my teammates.
“At this point, sitting down with trainers and coaches and seeing what’s best for everybody. If it’s best for me to sit out, take some time to get it right, then that’s a decision we’ll have to make. But they’ll have to pull me out.”
It is believed that if in fact surgery is needed Anthony could postpone the procedure until after the season but his most recent comments reveal a player who is concerned that his knee is not improving. Throughout his career, Anthony has shown a willingness to play hurt, including the finishing the playoffs two years ago despite suffering from a partially torn labrum in his left shoulder.
But with the Knicks season already spiraling out of control in early December, Anthony and the Knicks may decide to take a more proactive and aggressive approach in dealing with his knee injury.
