No. People are sick of his repetitive complaints and the fact that he won't do anything in real life to make a change.

I been going over what he's been saying for the past couple of years, and I don't think what he's saying is as egregious as some of you guys are making it out to be. Not talking about you in particular because your counter-arguments are well thought out. But I feel like the debate has always been sort of a version of the chicken or the egg. Is modern hip-hop a cause of problems in the Black community or is it a symptom? Is it possible for the truth to be somewhere in the middle?

I think his point is that Hip hop is exploitative, to even the black community that gave life to it.:mindblown:

There really isn't. All of the problems of today existed before hip-hop. Most importantly his belief that rap culture made people who never considered selling drugs or engaging in criminal activity to suddenly want to participate because of some songs is one of his most ridiculous beliefs.

The things I bolded are the issue with him:

Anyone who disagrees with him is "making it out to be" something, and any counter-arguments with not be
given any consideration.

I actually agree with some of his points. But when you point out something he says you disagree with,
he doesn't wanna discuss that. And when he doesn't wanna discuss that, he acts like you're splitting hairs
or blowing something out of proportion, or you're in your feelings about something.

And somehow, he's not affected by the illness because he's more enlightened or something.
Fucc all that - he can take his bullchit back across the street.

I agree that there have been problems, well before hip-hop no doubt. And no I don't think a rap song is going to make someone start slinging rocks. I do agree with that. But to make it seem like the music is totally innocuous is disingenuous as well.
