thoughts?

I like the framing but I don't like the unnatural color effect, i.e. the green leaves in the first pic and the water in the second and third. It's like nature being computerized. I personally prefer watching a more realistic picture.

The first one looks like if nature were a teenage girl with identity issues taking selfies of itself with IG filters :lolbron:

This is my situation, went out on a cloudy day with the lens the camera came with, pics were average at best. This is only my second time using the camera since when I bought it in the spring. Used to LOVE taking photos with my old point and shoot Sony DSC-H10 when I was an teenager. Trying to get back into the hobby.

One thing I love about this DSLR is how fast the shutter speed is, even on auto with the point and shoots I had there was an noticeable delay between photos. You can snap like five photos in five seconds with an DSLR :gladbron:
Why do people in 2022 still use DSLR ????

Far as I know when used properly it gives the best quality photos :manny:

I hear smartphones cameras can rival most point and shoots in quality though. My phone is nearly entry level and the photo quality is pretty good :ehh: not DSLR level though:whoa:

Are y'all team Sony or team canon?
I'm more video and use the bmpcc4k and 6k when we're doing something in studio. But outside of that, I use Sony A7iii and a7siii with

24-105. G-master for events
18-35 g master for wide shots
Prime 50 and sigma 85 1.4 for portraits
And I just copped the laowa probe lens.

I shoot with gh5s. Only had them a couple years so I'm gonna wait another year or so before I switch to the a7 series.

How is that probe lens though ? It's about $1500 Right? What kind of rig you using with the lens ? That lens really opens up for some dope shots

Damn are you saying DSLR is :flabbynsick:set?
Looking to pick up a 5D Mark 2 or 3 so I can have full frame capabilities with my EF lenses. :wow:

Mirrorless seem to be the wave now but lot of popular photographers don’t really seem like they know why they want it. Just sumn trendy.

I still shoot Canon 5D Mark IV DSLR, mode depends on what I am shooting, usually I'm in manual or aperture priority, if it fast action then I switch to shutter priority. My current camera I have had for almost 2yrs, never had it auto mode. If I do portraits with my strobes, manual is a must.

Gonna pick up a Canon R5 mirrorless real soon.
