Super Baby generation :wow:

Is this more like 23andme where they’re basically coming up with an idea of what the baby might turn out due to the parents’ genes?

In the context of what the company offers, I don't actually see anything wrong with it. It will help more people with genetic issues have kids. Its a strong market segment.

They're able to screen an embryo before it develops into a fetus for a bunch of really predictable genetic ailments the parents have. If it was more affordable I think most people should do it instead of rolling the dice with whatever comes out when they know one or both parents carry a disease trait.

I see a huge benefit among black people because of sickle cell . Their product actually allows two parents with the sickle cell trait to procreate without risking a child with full blown sickle cell disease. The current system of procreation is blind. Or if both people are aware of their traits they're basically forbidden from procreating with each other or must roll the dice.

Its not just sickle cell a bunch of other diseases work this way. Think of dwarfism or celiac disease or spinabifida. And these are the diseases that infants actually survive. Think of all the miscarriages that occur because both parents were unaware they had a fatal chomosome dna defect.
