"You've still got a great body, Kim but if you’re really so successful, so secure and so rich why do you still feel the need to pose nude at 35?"
--Piers Morgan on Kim Kardashian's incessant obsession with sharing nude photos of herself, and quite honestly, he's right -- and there's no "slut-shaming" or whatever people are calling it these days about it. You are what you are in Hollywood based on what you do ... and what Kim's been doing lately has been nothing short of shameful.
Morgan continues his essay by saying, "Kim’s ruthlessly exploited every crevice of her body in a way so spectacularly successful that it’s turned her into a multi-millionaire. Until recently, I’ve had no problem with this. She works hard, has a keen eye for fashion and beauty lines, and has proven herself to be a skilled self-publicizing marketer."
Morgan claims that even when she posed fully nude for Paper magazine, thus "breaking the internet," he stood by her.
"Kim doesn’t take drugs, get drunk, fall out of clubs, cheat on her man, or do any of the other insanely louche things that stars with far greater ‘talent’ often do," he'd written back then. "She’s good to her fans, and is by all accounts a good, loving daughter, sister, wife and now mom herself."
Last night, however, he changed his mind. "After she tweeted her latest nude picture last night," he continued, "I replied by saying: ‘I know the old man’s $50 million in debt, Kim ... but this is absurd. Want me to buy you some clothes?"
As you read earlier, she pitted him against the worst of the worst in the Ashley Madison scandal.
"I’m not so sure any of this is very liberating," he lamented. "In fact, I found it all a bit depressing. Kim’s 35 now," he continued, "and the mother of two very young children. She still looks fantastic, and of course has every right to post as many naked pictures as she likes. It’s her body, her life."
Piers began running along our lines of thought, that she's simply trying out out-do the younger members of her family who are garnering more attention these days, because that's what life is like, and failing miserably ... and embarrassingly.
He sums it all up quite nicely, saying, "You don’t want to fall into the trap of becoming an aging parody" to save your "brand."
Never has Morgan been more spot-on ... and if Kim's as smart and savvy as she claims she is, then she might want to consider listening to someone with actual perspective, and not her twit husband with the Napoleonic god complex and trigger Twitter finger.
