When I first tried to get into Curren$y I was not a fan. This was around the time This Ain't A Mixtape dropped and SOHH was alll over his jock. I really couldn't see it. Then one day I went back and just watched his videos like Breakfast, Elevator Musik, Address, and Life Under The Scope. So after that I went back and had a little bit more appreciation for his music. I thought Smokee Robinson was dope and could'nt wait for Pilot Talk.

Pilot Talk drops and I'm loving it great features, production, and rhymes. Pilot Talk 2 was a little disappointing but he pretty much stepped up his rhymes and it sounds like a winter album which is dope. Covert Coupe drops and I'm just feeling like he's killing the game right now. Then Weekend and Bernies drops and it's ehh...several mixtapes after that are ehhh...The Stoned Immaculate is just more of the same.

I don't see Curren$y ever changing his style because he has a fanbase that loves it but he needs to advance his subject matter. It has really become stale hearing about his rims, somebody whore he's fukking, then a rhyme about some dead stock jordans we'll never have, then a dash of weed references.

I hate to say he's become formulaic and predictable which is why Pilot Talk 3 will be the last joint I check for from him. I want to see him and Ski Beatz do it one more time then I'm done with dude. Unless he drops a Cover Coupe 2...but other than that it's over.

No more spitta for me.... :pacspit:

dont think PT 3 is a reality anymore, he hasnt done anything with Ski since his and Dash's legal problems came to light.

im sure Ski can do work outside of DD172 projects, but it seems like somethings weird there

i kept more tracks off ST than any other project by him. so i think its his best work front to back. only a few misses.

i look back at PT1 and PT2 as two great projects but there were actually only like 5-6 (each) certified tracks on those. alot of misses. like seat change, roasted, hangover, skybourne, chilled coughee, silence, all bad or very average tracks.

but while i think ST is his best project, it might not have that same bite as PT2 just cuz this isnt new to us anymore. like when i first heard airborne aquarium or famous, the day, or audio dope II it was a whole nother feel. but thats fine.

i also dont expect a PT3 or CC2 to be honest. itll be cool to see what direction he takes next. i guarantee he wont get complacent tho. i dont think he'll slack off at all. he can run with this formula for at least another year or two anyways. i do hope he picks back up on the mic a little tho now that he got ST outta the way.

I don't think the bolded belong with the other tracks, but I agree with this for the most part. His biggest problem is that this just isn't new anymore.

People expect to get that same feeling when you first listened to that artist when in most cases it isn't realistic.

ehh....if i want different subject matter i will listen to somebody else. Spitta can keep doing what he's doing cause i will always need new music to ride around and smoke to. :smugdraper:

Basically, I get so tired of hearing "He raps about the same thing".....no shyt even Spitta wouldn't dispute that. If I want different subject matter then guess what.....I listen to a different rapper :krs: I mean there are about a million rappers to choose from..

I don't get what y'all want from Curren$y. He always been this type of artist and hasn't really changed all that much style wise. He's been that way going on 4-5 years now and now all of a sudden yall don't want to fukk with him? If he hasn't given you what you looking for by now then it's time for you to move on but again what else were you expecting? That's like asking Devin the Dude to make something different after he's already released a ton of music with a specific vibe. You should know what youre in for ahead of time. Stoned Immaculate is one of his best releases IMO and he always makes quality tracks. Nothing more I can ask for.
