They always had that ginger ale kool aid combo drink on deck. Always had that one annoying ass cousin who would try to blow out the candles or start crying becuz they wanted gifts too. Playing pin the tail on the donkey

My granddad would always make homemade icecream (bluebell
). I was the only grandchild on both sides so the grandparents would spoil me rotton. The grownups would start playing "old folks" music (Bobby Womack, Jonnie Taylor etc) . Me snd the neighborhood kids would play all day after I opened my gifts.

I remember my uncle had us go to the grocery store to make our own pizza for one birthday. shyt was bout to poppin 
we threw them in the oven and somehow outta nowhere i got sick and started throwing up 
when i woke nikkas ate most of the pizza and all of the pizza i made
that type of shyt started the beginning of the end of me celebrating my birthdays

I had a west indian b-day party where adults came with they kids, curry goat, manish water soup, fried fish, etc plus reggae music and liquor was served.....at a kid's party
