Terrelle Pryor on playing another position: I don’t know how to catch

The Seahawks have shown no interest in moving Terrelle Pryor to a position other than quarterback, something that sits just fine with Pryor even though it could limit his chances of sticking in Seattle.

With Russell Wilson and Tarvaris Jackson locked into the top two spots on the depth chart, Pryor will need to show the Seahawks that he offers them enough to make keeping three quarterbacks worth their while. Showing an aptitude for another position might help Pryor show the athletic ability to pull that off, but he says that he doesn’t have one.

“I don’t know how to catch. I don’t know how to run the ball as a running back,” Pryor said, via the Seattle Times. “I’ve been a quarterback my whole life.”

If Pryor did want to learn how to do something new, it wouldn’t be the first time he’s done so during his NFL career. He spent part of last offseason trying to change the fact that he “never really knew how to throw a football before,” although some who watched the Raiders last year would suggest that those classes fell short of totally fixing the issue.

That’s always going to be a problem for Pryor as a quarterback and his athletic ability is always going to be a strength, leaving the Seahawks to decide how much of a chance the whole package has of helping them in 2014.

Did this dude really say he doesnt know how to catch? :dwillhuh:

Knowing how to catch and catching like a top TE/WR are two different things, the latter is not as easy you'd think
true. Maybe he should have said that instead of he doesnt know how to catch. Because it can be taken out of context.

Son probably could be a GOAT slot receiver if that was ALWAYS his position

Dude has elite speed and pretty great size

The fact he can't start over Tavaris fukkin Jackson says enough about what he's worth as a QB though

Kelvin Benjamin would be a GOAT slot receiver bruh

Plus, Jimmy Graham from New Orleans comes in for slot/outside alot, ton of mismatches

This would only work because you can't leave Percy alone and whoever the other outside receiver is at STL takes a DB...that leaves Pryor to at least have 1-1 coverage

I'm pretty sure he was just exaggerating. I saw him catch at least one TD pass during his time at OSU, and he looked pretty athletic doing it.
