Yeah concrete is hell, especially hooping or running for extended periods and I did both


I'll try to find it when I wake up but sandwiching a bunch of chewing gum between a few pieces of cardboard does wonders for the shock absorption. You wanna wrap it cheesecloth and change it regularly though or it'll get messy over time.

It wasn’t even my shot that was the problem. I was trying to get off my finishes around the rim off the backboard and it took me like 10-15 minutes to get used to it. Even had to do the Mikan drill on the other side of the court to adjust my touch

I got off outdoor ball by HS. Everybody was saying that hard surface would wear our knees out faster. Those church carpet gyms I played in a couple times weren’t much better tho, concrete right under that shyt Hated those fukkin gyms: drive or get fouled too hard now you literally on a fukkin stage behind the court.

Last time I played outdoors with my son, earlier this year, I was hurting the whole next week. It made me appreciate when my Pops would lazily come outside and let me run around wearing myself out while he used footwork in the post and backed me down or took shots outside until he missed.
