Pretty much. I thought the story was pretty good in the first game and that's what'll make or break it for you. The "gameplay" is some puzzles during each chapter.

The trial sections have a couple mechanics that took me forever to get down, but maybe I just wasn't paying attention when they were explained. Was frustrating for a while.
