I started 4th grade at eight most 4th graders were 8/9 when I was a kid who the fukk was 10 in the 4th grade

I had to do the math on this.

so at
Five = in first grade
Six = second grade
Seven = third grade
Eight = fourth grade

So this is the equivalent of when they used to have you enter school at the right age.
Then if you were advanced. Your parents could decide to move you up a grade if suggested.
