This isn't happening to celebrity whites or Hispanics....and it's not happening to regular whites or Hispanics

You're trying to make it sound regular but it's not
What celebrity Hispanics are there anyways breh? That brown on brown violence is huge out here. They mow each other down like crazy in Cali. It just doesn't make the news so kill all that bullsh*t

First and foremost, rest well to that young man.

You see people mad at LA, gang culture, the girlfriend, rap/street culture, etc...but when did people stop getting taught that "if you don't have any business over there, stay away from over there"? Every community, establishment or locale isn't friendly to outsiders - despite your ego that you go wherever you please.

He willingly put himself in the middle of an area where the residents actively get at each other, so why wouldn't they get at outsiders too? I say willingly because he had a lot of other Roscoes options or options in general, then there are his comments in the videos posted.

So being out of bounds is tricky enough but you add on to that, having something someone wants with no means of deterring or preventing them from taking it. That's definitely a miscalculation on moving around, anywhere in the world.

I understand what you're saying. BUT, have you been to LA? Do you live out here? A lot of places can be deemed out of bounds for people with money. And guess what, those places are where the main population is BLACK PEOPLE.

So is the lesson, we need to avoid our own people? Unless they live in wealthy areas? That is a terrible view to have (not saying you have that view). And it speaks on how, we are the ones bringing down our own. I don't have a solution, but we gotta protect each other. And uplift our people to search for other options than being in the streets.

If we don't, we will continue to be a culture/people left behind. Can you blame wealthy black people now, when they move to white neighborhoods and never go and try and help our people living in the projects?

Because what I'm seeing is people basically saying stay away from your people, because they will want to kill you. That's fukking sad.

This shyt has to end.

RIP to PNB...

It was a crime of opportunity, I don't know if anything else led to this but he definitely was wide open in a neighborhood he isn't from...

Here's the thing, this can (and does) happen to regular cats and street cats everywhere. But in the real world, let's say he was a known hood figure FROM LA or any city, dudes gotta think twice about hitting you because there are street ramifications for it. Known cats with reputations tend to be connected to other people with reputations, this balances out the risk of violence---->not that it won't happen because it does, but when dudes know you may be itchy upon approach and when they know you have a hit squad behind you, they are going to think twice before engaging because hitting a known figure FROM here is costly...

This isn't specific to LA, this is a reality that plays out anywhere...

PNB is in the HOOD in a city he isn't from with no real connections, there's no get back for harming him. There's no street risk in harming him. This is Point One...

Point Two, are street rappers general disconnection and lack of self-awareness in general, in that being celebrities reduces the risk of being harmed. Dudes become disconnected to the common man's reality, if they were ever in tune at all really...

One of the most important points though, is this is correlated to the glorification of street activities, because the guys who don't glorify themselves or the streets in their music aren't the ones being harmed. This is why this happens in hip hop more than artists of other genres, and this is why this happens to street rappers. No other genre glorifies criminality like this, and I'm not gonna go too deep into the rabbit hole but even vids of PNB being linked in thus thread are of him threatening to smoke nikkas, saying he goes places without security, being Hella braggadocious, BRAZENLY STATING "IVE NEVER BEEN ROBBED IN MY LIFE"...

In the real world that happens every day in your city, my city, everyone's city, if that's who you are then move appropriately because regular guys want to see what that's about...

I'm not saying he deserved this but if we believe who he says he is, and I have no reason to think he wasn't who he said he was, then he wasn't innocent and all this shyt comes back full circle when you live that way...

Yall only care because it's another rapper. This happens to regular guys every day, EVERYWHERE, and most of those duGreat des who present themselves that way are far from innocent, but the regular guys are irrelevant. This only matters to most of you because it's a rapper and because it's LA...
Great Post.

Though, I hate seeing that last statement whenever a rapper is murdered.

"This happens daily, but you only care now because it's a successful artist."

Why is that always used against us?

We don't know random breh 232423, who died randomly. Sure they look exactly like us, but they're no actual connection.

People have connections with all these guys being murdered. That's the power of music; they create moments and memories that impact people's lives that will stay with these people for their entire lives.

Might not be us specifically, but there are a bunch of people who listened to PnB Rock heavily; his come-up probably defined their high school years, or it probably got them through rough times.

These guys are also supposed to represent success for people who don't often receive success. It's a sign, a symbol that shows anyone can do it, especially people that look like us.

So it's annoying as fukk when people choose the jealous route and want to take the man's life over something materialistic when he represented something bigger.

No one wants to hear that "better follow the rules" shyt for criminals who don't even follow rules to begin with.

Shame the nikkas pulling the trigger not the successful artist

Smack dab in the hood....
It's crazy cause I've been there before. Coming from the airport, my family made a stop there. I will say, we did not eat there (lol), but we stopped picked up food and left. LA is tricky, cause that Roscoe's didn't look like it was in the hood or sketch, but we still had our guard up, cause in LA, u just never know, cause what looks and feels like a typical hood should be thrown out the window when you go to LA.

I understand what you're saying. BUT, have you been to LA?

I'm in LA often for work or to chill.

Nothing I said is specific to LA nor is it specific to black folks or black areas. There are predominately white areas I won't go into because the service will be questionable or I may have to deal with the police just because.

Everywhere ain't friendly to outsiders.

you might be mistaking that one from the one in Inglewood, near the airport. That one is safe verses the one on the eastside

These are crimes of opportunity. If you think dudes on that time would walk by a known celeb, and just keep walking because he wasn't shining, then ok.
Michael Jordan was at the Graduate Hotel on West End like 8 weeks ago....NOBODY HAD THE BALLS or insanity to even think robbing him..wtf..lol
