Ehh im guessing certain paths will be easier to navigate through based on starters.
I don’t think the traditional typing and stats will be calculated the same since its probably ATB

Yeah we'll see bc I doubt they get away from a system that's existed basically since Red/Green. And certain games are harder depending on the starter you pick already.

I can see messing around with core mechanics putting a ton of people off that even supported Sw/Sh, then again it wouldn't be GF if they didn't give you shyt you always wanted right along with shyt you never wanted.

Samurott has always been cool. Most water mons are slow and bulky anyway but instead of defense he's loaded w/ atk & sp atk and solid def. Run aqua ring and he's a sweeper.

These starters are weird because Decidueye & Samurott are pretty similar, like you just gotta be one of those contrarian types to pick anything but Typholsion lol

Edit: unless they're doing something new in this game, then all bets are off lol

Samurott a good pokemon, I'm just not a fan of the design. I felt like it would have been better bipedal like the previous evolutions.

I’ve been playing Pokémon consistently for the past 20+ years and Arceus the most excited I been about a mainline title in 10 years

I’ve always picked fire starter.

Tangent: hardcore pokemon fans always try and silence any criticism for this series and to their own detriment. People complained for YEARS, made countless fan mock ups and and actual games screaming that we wanted an open world pokemon game, and fans of the series constantly told people to stop complaining and stood by SW/SH being a good game.

Now that theres an open world game coming out they are like this looks 10xs better than sword and shield and people are still complaining! Like, uhm..yeah they showed an early version of the game which means the criticisms for it can actually be solved by the time it comes out. That’s the entire point. Like people are willing to admit sword and shield are bad now in defense of legends.

There’s literally nothing to lose by demanding more from gamefreak, they are filthy rich off pokemon and they aren’t gonna lose money because people are complaining. The only end result is that you get a better product that you can eventually brag about and compare to other AAA games at the end of the year.

there were people going in on Sword and Shield left and right non stop. the argument was more so people trying to get people to chill towards the people who were buying it and actually having fun catching em all (by all I mean whatever GF was willing to add) that game GOT shytTED ON.

The reason die hards are cool with this is because it's what they wanted, an open world pokemon game with gameplay that could break the flow of pokemon mainline games. there's so much potential to a game like this but it seems that just pulled a let's COMPLETELY re skin BOTW/Genshin/immortals fenyx rising/ all the other games that ref'd BOTW.

Decidueye is the best starter in years but i havent played with a typhlosion in so long i gotta choose him. Havent used a typhlosion since i was a kid
