Police investigate officer-involved shooting in SF's Oceanview neighborhood

San Francisco police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in San Francisco's Oceanview neighborhood where two people were injured, authorities said.

San Francisco police said shortly after 4:20 p.m. that they were responding to an officer-involved shooting involving an outside agency. The incident occurred in the area of Capitol Avenue and Montana Street, according to initial reports.

The suspect was shot and a CHP officer from Redwood City was moderately injured. The officer was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with abrasions and a minor head injury.

Sources close to the investigation say this started out as an investigation into a stolen car auto burglary operation by the San Mateo County Task Force.

Daly City, CHP and other jurisdictions from San Mateo County were chasing a stolen white van and ended up in the Ocean View neighborhood. Sources say the van crashed into a home. A witness said a white van and another car were traveling at high speeds before crashing.

It's unclear which agency fired shots.

This is on the news right now, at first they acted like the cop got shot but now they're saying the CHP who got injured was injured in a car collision. They said the suspect got shot multiple times and is in critical condition.
