There are plenty of things I disagree with Mamdani on, as I'm generally dismissive and critical of certain socialist ideals. But the idea that he poses any thread to democrats is laughable. They called Obama a socialist and communist. Same with Hillary, Biden, Kamala. It doesn't matter what the platform is, they will call you a socialist/communist.

If Mamdani is a terrible mayor and his ideas fail then we can revisit this, because that could have consequences. But a lot of his policies are pretty NY-specific technocratic shyt that will likely have immediate positive impact on the city. Allowing street vendors, bodegas, etc to survive without being fukked up hundreds of fines/fees/red tape? Vast majority of NY is gonna be happy about that lol.

This is why the weak willed protests of the Democrats against even Trump ring so hollow. You have people like Mamdani actually coming with fresh ideas and a new perspective and trying to stonewall them, ineffectively at that. Doing the same thing and playing middle of the road is going to lead to nowhere.

Mumdani is an EXCELLENT purity test for Dems.

The ones pushing back on him without bringing better ideas....are mostly the establishment Do-Nothing Dems. They only care about staying wealthy, protecting the wealthy and MIGA (Making Israel Great Again).

Not saying Mumdani is perfect but you can see which Dems are legit and which ones are full of shyt.

1. Many of us don't give a flying fukk about Israel.

2. There's a reason why we don't care about the other candidates outside of maybe Cuomo and that's cuz he has name brand recognition that couldn't even secure him the primary.
