let's see em.

I'll start with Roddy Piper vs Bret Hart - Wrestlemania 8 (1992)

Backstory: Bret Hart after years of being a fan favorite as a Tag Team and then a singles, finally wins singles gold vs Mr. perfect. he loses the IC strap to the Mountie while having a 1000 degree temperature sickness(s/n I really believed he was sick as a kid. cause I mean, How could the mountie really beat bret hart :heh:)

in steps Roddy Piper at the 92 Royal Rumble. Piper a beloved fan favorite and veteran beats the mountie and wins his 1st singles gold ever in the WWF.

Bret, having recovered has already challenged the winner of this match for a shot at wrestlemania.

now we have babyface vs babyface for the gold.

the long time veteran vs the young up and comer who was robbed of his gold.

couple things of note that I like about this presentation:

1. Bobby Heenan's commentary throughout is Hilarious
2. the pre match promo is really good.
3. of course the story these two tell is phenomenal

The Fighter/Brawler vs the Technical Wrestler
The Old Generation vs the New Generation
The former Heel Piper, having to decide will he resort to his former ways in order to retain his title after temperatures flare early in the match.
how the crowd basically begs Roddy NOT to cheat
the classic ending that would be used by bret vs austin and then the rock vs austin.
the "passing of the torch" moment

Brother vs brother. The staredown

The first time someone kicked out of the tombstone piledriver not once, but twice.

This is the type of stuff you read in fictional stories. Steven Spielberg couldn't have done better than this.:ohlawd:

the entire Undertaker vs Kane storyline, which basically started the night after Wrestlemania 13 until Wrestlemania 14 was so well done.

Big Show vs Sheamus Hell in a Cell ppv

the segment on SD had them showing the strength of the BROGUE kick and the strength of the WMD. The WMD was stronger but no one has ever kicked out of either move.

During the match Big Show hits him with the WMD and Sheamus kicked out, Sheamus hit him with the Brogue Kick and Show kicked out.

Sheamus went for another Brogue Kick, Show side stepped it and hit him with a WMD at the same time :wow: won the title.

2 easy choices to go with but it is such a credit to the story in the match and the buildups themselves

classics, art of storytelling :wow:

the double turn. showed that Bret was still the best and that Austin would rather die than give up.
I remember when Michaels was climbing up to put hhh and himself thru that table thinking, :whoa: ok you don't have to do this, you've proven your point..:damn: he did it anyway

Multiple matches in that Daniel Bryan "weak link" angle leading up to SS 2013.

Main one that comes to mind is when Bryan, Orton, & Kane took on the Shield and DB snapped and went 2005 on they ass :wow:

Rock vs Cripple H ladder match ic title Summerslam 98. Kind of speaks for itself for anyone that watched it. A heel turned face by the crowd, great leg work by Rocky, and the match showed Rock was the better man and it took Chyna to make the difference for the weaker face.
