Im gonna upgrade my stock audio soon but I have no idea what brands are good.
I just recently changed my system set up Monday. I got a 2008 Chevy Impala. I got a Pioneer AVH-P2400BT head unit. I have Sony 5.25 3 ways in the front doors, the A-pillar tweeters are still stock and sound really good. In the back I have Boston Acoustic 3-way 6x9's. All of those speakers were ran by a 2-channel Audiobahn amp. One of the channels was starting to go out so I ended up changing from the 2 channel to a 4-channel Quantam Audio QZA4400.4. I had two 10 inch Alpine E-series subs in a sealed box with shared airspace. Those subs were 10 years old, and it was to the point that when you pushed on them you can hear and feel the voice coil rubbing. Plus the surrounds was starting to tear. I changed up and got a Lanzar OPTI1232D and a single ported 12 inch speakerbox. That one 12 is powered by my DEI 1100D monoblock amp. It's putting between 1,100 to 1,300 watts to that one 12 and it's outperforming my 2 tens. It matches up perfectly to the sub since it can take 1,100 watts RMS and 2,200 watts max. I can honestly say that this is the loudest system I have ever had but it's so clear at high volumes. If I do anything else to my car it would be adding Satellite Radio. But I am impressed with how it sounds now.

Yeah subs and a amp. Maybe a touch screen head unit for the sake of it.Btw, what is it that you're trying to look for? Just a simple upgrade?
