President Trump is set to deliver his first speech ever to the United Nations General Assembly, and he is expected to talk about what his “America First” vision will mean for the rest of the world.
The address is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. EST.
The speech will be a defining moment for international politics since Trump does not have a particularly positive relationship with the United Nations. In the past, Trump has dismissed the organization as “a club for people to get together, talk and have a good time,” and he commented yesterdaythat the U.N. has an inefficient bureaucracy and poor management.
Indications suggest that Trump will use his speech to mobilize the international community against threats from Iran and North Korea. The Kim Jong Un regime has flouted international condemnation with their most recent, threatening provocations. Trump is likely to make a call to action against the rogue nation’s weapons tests, as well as Iran’s destabilizing, hostile influence in the Middle East.
White House officials have also hinted that Trump’s address will explain what his nationalist political views will mean for global cooperation. ‘Rocket Man is on a Suicide Mission’: Trump Threatens to ‘Totally Destory North Korea’
During his speech before the United Nations General Assembly, President Trump said America will “totally destroy North Korea” if the rogue nation continues with their hostile provocations.
After an address on his pro-nationalism worldview, Trump moved on to talk about how the Kim Jong Un regime has shown more contempt for the goals and ideals of the U.N. than any other nation on Earth. The president pointed to North Korea’s oppressive disregard for human rights, as well as the regime’s brutal treatment of Otto Warmbier, the American college student who died shortly after being released from a prison camp months ago.
“It is an outrage that some nations would not only trade with such a regime, but would arm, supply and financially support a country that imperils the world with nuclear conflict. no nation on earth has an interest in srm itself with nuclear weapons and missiles. The United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea.”
Trump continued to bring back his recent Twitter insult against Kim by saying “Rocket Man is on a suicide mission.” He went on to call for increased action by the U.N. while saying that denuclearization is the “only acceptable future” for the Hermit Kingdom.

President Trump called the Iranian nuclear deal negotiated under the Obama administration an “embarrassment” during his first-ever address to the United Nations General Assembly Tuesday morning.
“We cannot let a murderous regime continue these destabilizing activities while building dangerous missiles and we cannot abide by an agreement if it provides cover for the eventual construction of a nuclear program,” Trump said in his address before a global audience in New York.
“The Iran deal was one of the worst and most one-sided transactions the United States has ever entered into,” Trump continued. “Frankly, that deal is an embarrassment to the United States and I don’t think you have heard the last of it, believe me.”
