This happened to me for the first time recently. Was not fun but I was able to get back up temporarily but told them what happened so I had a valid excuse to skip out part of the day.

do you work from home?

i have three laptops that i keep charged as well as my phone. power goes out i can still be on the fully charged laptops and use my fully charged phone as a wifi hotspot :gucci:
He said the power went out. How the fukk you gonna keep a router charged? Especially if you have to be hard wired, like most companies require…? Or what if he’s on a desktop? What if the desktop doesn’t have a wifi capability built into the motherboard? Not all companies supply surge protectors with battery backups either…

You just thought about your setup and assumed that the other millions of people working from home had the same hardware/requirements as your company?

I’ve been at companies that give mini atx desktops/workstations and some that give laptops. I’ve also been with a bank that got away from all that and gave the equivalent of a Raspberry Pi with virtual software, which had to be hard wired. Every company I ever worked for from home required wired Ethernet connection

I got the same thing. Real brehs know the deal
I actually have 5 tablet lines on At&T. My cousin and her family use the other 4 as their home internet (out in the sticks) They pay the bill so I get the AT&T line for free.

I had the 34.99 AT&T prepaid up until last month. I just cancelled it.

I got the mobile hotspot and 2 laptops so Im just gonna get busy. Yeah Im salaried, but Thats beside the point. I manage my workload precisely the way that I want it. Any work I am not doing now is just stuff I have to get around to later. There's no reason to let it pile up on me because of a power outage just because Im going to be paid. Thats hustling backwards. If I manage my workload properly I get to basically take many days off once everything is done and sit here playing PS5/Switch games and posting on Coli most days.

I would rather work hard 3 days a week and chill for 2, than to work at a moderate level all 5 days a week. :yeshrug:

The point was, you responded to the title/OP with something that doesn’t even apply to the MAJORITY when the power goes out. It has nothing to do with applying to me but you got it…

yeah and i can do that. all posts in a thread don't have to apply to everybody and everything. was it you that told me that the other day? :mjlol:
same to you, you gave your set up that didn't apply to everybody but nobody played forum police with you lol
