The more interesting part of this interview is when Pras talks about "living in the moment" and not knowing how big the song was because it was more about the music.
This is something that's hard to explain to younger cats because they grew up in hyperbole culture. Back then, none of us were thinking "yo lemme check how big this song is" and "how many likes does it have", etc. We just liked the song or didn't like it. I loved "Ghetto Superstar". Used to listen to it all the time. And that's where it ended. Never occurred to me to be like "yo, is Pras a top 10 rapper all time off this song?" or whatever dumb shyt y'all pop now about lesser-talented acts.
