I need tips, especially on how to line up the back.

- How to start?
- What direction do i go?
- Do i keep the clippers in my strong hand when on the opposite side of my head?
- How to line up the back?

I want it to be this level not trying any fades/tapers. If i pull this off successfully :mjcry:

Edit: I read the thread title wrong. Just put on a 3 guard and cut all over. Get a mirror so you can see the back. Easy.

I‘ve been cutting my hair since college, problem in going to some of these schools is no black barbers around :mjpls:

You’re definitely going to want a hand mirror for the back. Gonna have to hold it in one hand and your cippers in the other

If the grain of your hair is easy to identify go with the grain. It will take off less hair each pass and if you care about waves/hair pattern it won’t disturb it as much…problem is if your hair pattern changes often that might be easier said than done and for consistency sake it might be easier to go against the grain.

Don’t mess with your line too much, you’ll probably push it back being concerned about the straightness.

Worse comes to worse…you fukk up cut it super low and try again when it grows back.

-Learn how the hair grows on your head, it is a must if you want to learn how to fade. It is a must to avoid a patchy looking haircut
-Take your time, and I mean. Really take your time
-Do not attempt to do anything fancy
-Study your head shape from different angles, so you can get a better idea on how to style your hair
-Do not expect to get a good fade from a really cheap set of clippers.
-Lighting is everything
-Use big clean mirrors
- Again it takes time and patience and making mistakes is a part of the process
-The easiest trim is the clean bald fade
-It is going to feel awkward

Like dude said before. Find the guard for the length you want and go with the direction you brush/comb your hair. Start with a bigger guard and go smaller until you find the length you want. Since it's your first time I suggest going over your whole head more than once just in case you miss any spots.

The edge up is easy but the most important thing is DONT PUSH IT BACK!!!!! Find your natural hairline and cut just enough to clean it up. As for the back I would let someone else do that bc it's hard to do the first time. If you don't trust that wear shirts with a collar so people won't see it. Be sure about every thing with the hairline bc once it's gone it's gone till it grows back.

Good luck breh. May the clipper gods be kind to you

i fukked up the back. I still can fix it :mjcry:
I had to give myself a fake baldie because I fukked up the back and couldn't blend it in good enough.

Luckily for me, i found out that I actually look good with a very low ceaser/baldie.
