I got a theory on this. People associate certain names with grandparents or old people in their generation and the names start to sound "dated" so they age out. Except for the standards like biblical names.

As a Joey, I used to hate listening to it because my mom (RIP), would sound like Minnie Mouse with hemorrhoids. Once I actually copped one of her albums on vinyl and see her live performance....I understand her worth. Her beauty and the woes of a mentally struggling artist that was lost in a cold world without any warmth or comfort.
