Following the massive success of the Predator pic, Prey, 20th Century is moving forward with the next film as Deadline is hearing Dan Trachtenberg is returning to write and direct Badlands, a new standalone pic in the franchise that is expected to shoot later this year. The film is a high priority for the studio and sources say Trachtenberg and execs are already meeting with talent for the lead role.

Plot details are being kept under wraps other then it featuring everyones favorite extraterrestrial big game hunter. It is also known about releases plans as the last film exclusively streamed on Hulu (breaking numerous viewerships records for the streamer) but given that 20th Century has been very much back in the theatrical game with films like Boogeyman and the upcoming Alien: Romulus film bowing in theaters, a theatrical premiere isn’t out of the question.

A sequel with Dutch or least a Predator movie that properly develops a story line of Predator species.

We got none of that. Just bunch of dumb sequels of dumb people getting killed by Predator until the Predator fukks up his move and gets killed too.

This isn't about Glover, it's about movie creators completely missing direction of the franchise and just making a shameless money grab sequels.

Predator 2 was a flop. A cheesy cop shootout film with Predator included into the mix. It was a misdirection that barely added anything new into the Predator story line. We have to sit through and watch the new cast trying to figure out things about Predator that we the audience already know, None of the sequel casts compare to Predator 1, that's just facts. Barely any feel of mysterious in Predator 2, unlike Predator 1. After a hour and a half of watching predictable action scenes we get to the ending where there's more Predators, the trophies, I wanna know that stuff, this is what the sequel should have been about, and the movie ends :laugh:

Watch about 90 minutes of cheesy Hollywood action just to find out the real shyt that should have been developed in the sequel is only here for couple minutes like some demo version.

Whoever calls Predator 2 a great film doesn't realize the potential Predator franchise has had.
