depends on how big the hype gets. i have no doubt he will drop a DOPE album, probably on the same level as GKMC & Section80 but the hype gets overblown a lot these days, just like Dre could drop the definitive GOAT album in any genre in history and cats would still hate it, it wouldn't live up to the Detox hype.

Judging from that little snippet from that Beats commercial Kendrick is cooking something nice. I just hope he doesnt venture off onto that trap lane. If he sticks to his roots he's good.

But why do you care? No matter what the critics say, the critical acclaim, and the awards he gets. .. You will still call him overrated and trash and bring up a bunch of pretty excuses to his success.

Kendrick is a industry plant which correlates to making good music that the majority of his listeners praise.

Kendrick is behind a hype machine that somehow brainwashes people into to liking his music and so forth and so forth...

Bunch of bullshyt if you ask me

plenty of people were liking his music before he was "signed" to Aftermath whether you believe he was secretly signed before Section80 or not, the fact that 99% of potential fans didn't know about it means they were made fans by the music, regardless if Aftermath secretly got him more exposure or not. it's not like Rigamortis was being played all over radio or anything which is what you would expect if he was a plant.

if he spent all of 2013 putting out random music then i'd guess no.

but since he's sort of laid low and did some collabs..i'd say he has a better chance than some of his counterparts.

lets just hope this fickle ADD era doesnt forget him before he drops

If so, he'd be the first person in history who debuts with a 5 mic classic and follows up with a better album?

Or perhaps Eminem already did that if we call SSLP a 5 mic classic and I think a lot of people will say Yeezus Chriswest did it.
