I legitimately have no idea what they are doing right now, but I am intrigued. Imagine telling a high school Colby "Yeah, you'll become the first simultaneous WWE and US champ by beating John Cena for the US title - No, you aren't 'pulling a Goldberg,' you go into the match as WWE champ, shut up - and then set up an angle with Sting the next night. Might be a painted up Mike Tenay cosplaying as a band leader Mickey Mouse, though. The jury is still out on that.

Probably but maybe this was in Sting's contract as a bonus for doing the job for HHH at Wrestlemania this year.

This is more of a must win for Sting than it is Rollins

Someone who will wrestle limited matches as Sting needs a W since he's already lost

Seth already beat Reigns, Ambrose, Orton and Cena in title matches and has wins over
Cesaro and Neville since being champ

If they use this to set off a Seth/HHH feud, it's a nice set up

Cena will undoubtedly eventually win the U.S. title back and Seth may have to defend in 2 separate matches at NOC. Cena can beat Seth cleanly and in the Sting match, Sting might be about to beat a fatigued Seth and that's when the Authority starts their shadiness... Then Kane returns for vengeance on Seth and there you have it, Sting wins

No contest/DQ. Demon Kane returns and attacks Sting which leads to Sting having an opponent they won't mind him going over cleanly on PPV.
