Sounds like he was talking about white men to me :francis:
Yup, and people in this thread are completely missing that. Young white men are the goldmine demographic but Democrats have not won white men since 1965...we all know why that is. What Obama and folks like him seem to miss is that a lot of the ways to pander to white men overlap with Republicans in a way that aren't compatible with progressivism. If folks truly want to see two Republican parties, catering to white men is going to take is there and it can't be done without throwing everybody else under several buses.

The right way, the wrong way and the Max Power way
@Worthless Loser has finally found a reason to live - to become a black man hating male feminist :mjlol:

I'd go back to the minute my mom and dad were having sex and tell my dad to pull out so I wouldn't be born.

The only reason I haven't killed myself for being very short is because I don't want my mom and dad to live with the pain of my death.

Remember whenever you see weirdo anti black man shyt from a supposed breh, this is the kind of fakkit you're dealing with. In this case: a suicidal dwarf :mjlol:

I disagree.

The young black men voting turnout is abysmal.

He is speaking to that.

He is also speaking to a marginalization of men that even my grandmother noticed years prior.

75% to 90% is a huge difference in margin. The difference between 75% and 80% alone is literally thousands upon thousands of votes.

She was below the target from previous elections.

She had 78% and that was lower than the target black male vote. Meanwhile she got 92% of black woman vote because she was a woman, plus they don't fall for the dumb shyt that black men fall for. They can smell bullshyt a mile away. Meanwhile chief bigot Trump doubled his black support from 8% in previous elections to 15% in 2024 which is thousands upon thousands of votes and a huge margin if you do the math.

As I said before, black men believe they are immune from criticism and here is a perfect example. If you listen to the video he was given data about how people was feeling. His response was in regards to the information given to him and as I said before, it was confirmed by the ignorant shyt that was posted here and recorded videos all through the election.

Can't vote for Kamala cause she ain't black b
Can't vote for Kamala cause she a wench that's married to a white man bruh
Can't vote for Kamala cause she locked nikkas up 10 years ago cuz
Can't vote for Kamala cause she won't give us reparations blood
Can't vote for Kamala cause I'm just not feeling her you know what I mean. (With no explanation as to why)
Can't vote for Kamala cause she put collard greens in the tub. Dirty bytch.
Can't vote for Kamala because fukked Montell Williams 22 years ago hoe ass bytch
Can't vote for Kamala cause she fukked that old ass man 35 years ago to get her career popping scandalous ass bytch

When it comes to Trump? Crickets. And once again, no discussion about the shyt that matters and effects people's lives: POLICY.

lol at being mad when Obama said Pookie and Ray Ray. When a comedian or celebrity says it, it's fine, when Obama says it, it's a problem. That's just militant sensitivity.

I am aware of the significant contributions other races made to Trump's election. but this isn't about them. That's a deflection.

lol at being belittled and ignored. When Kamala was VP she literally hosted roundtables with black men on business opportunity. shyt was posted on youtube. She played a part in the Small Business Administration donating more money to black people every single year she was VP and much higher than what Trump was giving. The administration donated more money to HBCU's than any administration in history. And no it wasn't just for "start your own barbershop" shyt. That's a ridiculous accusation. And ain't nobody know about this shyt because people don't pay attention and only look for shyt to criticize.

Maybe, Idk.....people should learn economics, understand how the federal government works, analyze all the different federal agencies, study what they do and don't do, learn to understand policy, and educate themselves on the issues.
Dropping facts but remember, some of these "brehs" are white men.

The others just felt Kamala was somehow worse than Trump for "reasons." Most brehs are reasonable but some got that anti-LGBT/anti-female shyt lodged so deep in their brains that they can convince themselves that letting the Klan run gubmint is better than a handing it to a half-Black woman.

The logic is "Kamala wouldn't provide a much of a positive impact to our lives." That's likely 100% facts. The part they miss is that Kamala might help you just 1% or 2%, but she wouldn't hurt you much on the other end. Trump will fukk everyone up with zero upside.

The only positive is that this forces the Dems to move to a more progressive/populist/dumbed down platform......but the Trump-voting nikkas didn't vote for him to "wake up the Democrats." They did it because....well I'm not sure they know why they did it without mentioning Kamala.

Respectfully what more can you do? These nikkas is struggling because they are struggling in the economy (I get it) which favors those with Degrees and Credentials.

When men struggle economically the trickle down effect is severe (Depression, abuse, radicalization, etc) but I ask Barack and others what do you want progressives to do? In Blue Progressive States many of them already have programs to put these Young men on the path to success.

Minnesota makes public universities free for residents who make under 80,000 a year (most men).

New York makes CUNY and SUNY free for all men who makes under 125,000 a year. Not only that NYC recently partnered with Delaware State University (HBCU in Delaware) to help them recruit young men.

Massachusetts has Free Community college and free transfer to the UMASS university system for all residents regardless of income.

I’m not even going to get in the fact that Many HBCU have been begging young men to come to their campuses. Governor Wes Moore (Maryland) invested 1.6 Billion in its local Maryland HBCU’s and outreach programs to get young Black men involved in the process.

Academically and credentialed wise Progressives in Blue States have done everything to get young men to be involved, they just don’t want to.

No disrespect to Barack but how much more you got to coddle these nikkas man?
You’re listing off programs while calling struggling men nikkas who need to stop being coddled. Talking down to them and in the same breath as asking why they don't want your help.Men are killing themselves at 3-4 times the rate women are, male college enrollment is in free fall, boys are getting left behind at every level of school, also male homelessness is up around 40 percent in the last decade. This aint about men not taking advantage of free programs its a real crisis happening. But your answer to guys struggling with mental health and education problems is to basically call them unresourseful or ungrateful?
If you actually want men to use these programs, maybe don't shyt on them when you talk about them and keep telling them they are the problem.

He will be back on his finger wagging, self righteous bullshyt by the time midterms come around. Obama is perceptive enough to see where the zeitgeist is but I am not convinced he believes what he is saying as of now. The rhetoric come election season is what matters.

I dont think he is. Money blinds a lot of ppl

It is not women getting into the workforce that was the problem, it was the "lifting up women at the expense of men" rhetoric that was going on for years. We have seen where the messaging through media and Democratic politics where an emphasis was placed on women's success and the failure of men, especially with Black men and women.

That is not a winning strategy when you need men to vote for you, so while i would never not vote or vote republican, there are men that are turned off by the focus put on women and will not vote Democrat. This is not a recent problem but it has become more evident each election cycle and now you have men that would of voted Democrat years ago not doing so.

This exactly how Kamala unfortunately couldn't connect with black men like they wanted because we were gonna experience this rhetoric on steroids had she won.. This election was a Lose Lose for everyone

It took generations of black activism to push these rights through. People marched, organized, lobbied, got beaten up by the police and white mobs, thrown in jail and lynched before change was finally achieved and this idiot says

"eh, they're rolling back our rights, but at least they deport immigrants, that's a plus. We can get our rights back later.:manny:"

Give me a timeline and an action plan for reinstating the progress that was rolled back by Republicans and their Supreme Court.
How are you going to reinstate what has been gutted and rolled back by Republicans and their majority on the supreme court @Voice of Reason ?
Next month marks the 60th anniversary of the passing of the Voting Rights Act—a law often celebrated as the “crown jewel” of the Civil Rights Movement. Signed in 1965 after years of organizing and unimaginable sacrifice, it was meant to realize the constitutional promise that the right to vote would not be denied or abridged on account of race.

Yet, as we approach this milestone, we find ourselves not in a moment of reflection or rededication, but in a state of legal free fall. The Supreme Court has scheduled arguments next term on Louisiana’s racially gerrymandered congressional map, and the court as early as next week may put on hold and set for argument a case in which the 8th Circuit held that private plaintiffs have no right to sue to enforce Section 2 of the act.* These pending decisions threaten to gut what remains of this once powerful statute, which has already been largely hollowed out by the Roberts court over the last decade-plus.
