President Pierre Nkurunziza died last week and the first reports were a heart attack. However, news leaked out that he and his wife had traveled to Kenya for treatment after he fell ill after watching a volleyball match and foreign diplomats are now saying everyone in Bujumbura knows it was the corona. This would make him the first head of state to die of COVID-19. Burundi was one of the countries that didn't lock anything down and was like :yeshrug:

Nkurunziza had been in since 2005 and wasn't exactly the Good Humor man, ruling with an iron fist. Hopefully the next guy (shown below) is better.

Evariste Ndayishimiye, who won the election last month is taking over. Hopefully he changes his tune from a recent political rally:

“Do not be afraid” he said. “God loves Burundi and if there are people who have tested positive it is so that God may manifest his power.”

I just can't:francis: and I'm Christian

Circumstantial evidence is pointing in that direction. Why would both he and his wife seek foreign medical treatment for a cardiac arrest. Word over there is he did but they won't admit it.

So we just assuming shyt now:dwillhuh: .

Rich people from other countries always go to other countries for medical treatment.

The rumors of cardiac arrest are just rumors to begin with. So we don’t know shyt.

We don't have all the facts, w/ that said African nations are not really testing their countries. For example the top 10-20 countries in covid testing have tested at least 2% of their populations. No country in Africa has tested more than .01%.
