Lol Kenya has intense xenophobia (especially towards Nigerians), share a border with a country housing a terrorist group, and Ruto has cut safety nets/public goods funding while increasing taxes causing violent protest. Good luck with this.

Norfeast groovin…
The efforts across the continent are small but with good honest leadership and vision we can see a more interconnected Black world. Whether or not those leaders are in place right now is a whole different question.

literally before it was a e-visa that is always approved. There really is no difference except you don't have to pay the 30 bucks or whatever.

Out of all the countries that border kenya - Tanzania, Uganda , South Sudan , Ethiopia and Somalia.

All were already visa free except somalia which is a e-visa - hell ugandans can travel to kenya with just their national id.

For the EAC yes but not for other parts of Africa. Next time you're in Nairobi ask them about Nigerians who are illegally there and check the temperature :pachaha:

Visa restrictions aren't stopping anybody from entering from Somalia. Are you aware of their history?

Basically a huge chunk of Somalia was annexed by the British and included within Kenya's borders. So they have a huge native Somali population. Think of how America adopted a bunch of Mexicans by annexing Texas or from getting Arizona/new Mexico from the Louisiana purchase.

Furthermore, the northern border is so fluid to facilitate families split on both sides that children and teens from Somalia routinely and freely cross the border to Kenya for classes or lunch and then return home. So do business owners and truckers. And the travel goes in both directions. Generally, it's just a checkpoint much like our American southern border to check for tax evasion and contraband. With the exception of brief hysteria during Westgate and COVID lockdowns , it's usually easy to cross.

Arguably the biggest threat to Kenya would be their own homegrown guerilla terrorists who hide like Castro or Escobar in the jungles and swamps of lamu to the east .
