Price of the brick going up (ps5 price increasing)

Inflation has increased….but aren’t the tech components now cheaper?

Either way I’m sure they still make a loss on each PS5 sold and recoup it through the games and subscriptions

This is why competition matters. Notice the US isn’t included in that list. Sony mostly picked places where they dominant and the Xbox isn’t a threat but they know if they raise prices in the US then Microsoft will use it as an opportunity to eat into their market share.

Or, the currency in those countries are still weighed against the American dollar and prices are going up.

Demon Souls was $79.99 here in Canada at release, now games are $89.99 before taxes.

A pack of meat that used to be $6 is now $9.
