Dominik's rise is a example of keeping it simple. WWE at times overpushes people and the crowd backfires, like Rocky Maivia and post-Shield Roman. The first thing they did was to make Dominik a heel, as if the crowd ain't in to Dominik, why not make him a bad guy. The next thing is to put him in a group where he is not the sole dynamic in promos, and WWE did that with Judgement Day.

The key factor though was the segments with Dominik & Rhea going to his house, and with the 2nd one getting him arrested.

What set it off, was that Dominik improv'd about him, "Not making it in Prison."

WWE then had the blueprint to promote Dominik and Rey for WM.

Even better, Dominik lost his WM match, and ended up getting EVEN MORE heat this week... that is over.

As for Dominik himself... he has improved by slowing down his promos, listening to crowd and adjusting.

Plus Michael Cole doing his part to show vitriol to Dominik on the air.

Yeah, Dom shook of going to county lock up for a day then coming out like he's an ADX OG was brilliant.

I’m about to say it for the 50th time, young breh better get on a low test dosage and hit the gym hard asap

Main event heels are begging for this type of reaction, there’s so much potential, but he’s never going to be a main eventer looking like that

I rewatched Dom/Rey at Mania yesterday and that shyt was a classic. Found myself rewinding several parts of the match back. Everything was perfect from the entrances to the face off to the interaction with the family and the sequences and interferences. I could run it back right now and still be entertained by it.
