I did a couple years in prison but there were no real race politics where I did my time. The inmates didn't run shyt in there. The Latinos, Asians, and Natives were all cool with the black folks. We would hoop together, play cards together, work out together. The white supremacists had a "religion" called Asatru which was basically the prison version of the KKK. They would have meetings every week and anyone who joined was basically letting everyone know they're racist. But they never did shyt and kept their distance from everybody else so they wouldn't get their ass whooped. The whites who weren't on that shyt made sure not to associate with the Asatru cacs.
Nobody really got into fights much because having fights on your disciplinary record ruins your chances at getting parole. The few fights that did happen were usually over gambling debts or previous beef people had outside of prison.

I don't know who in their right mind would beef with Samoans
I've only ran into them in Alaska and Utah but they are cool, humble people despite how intimidating they look. Even the women are at least 6 feet tall

NASTIEST one punch knockout i ever seen on a random street fight video was this samoan or maybe he was tongan knocking out this mf in some type of dining area. I will never forget that shyt and ive never found it again. like bro got up from the table about to fight this huge islander...and literally got evaporated, deleted, im talking NREM stage 3 sleep. it was like in dr strange when bro got punched by the grandmaster monk lady except the epitome of violence, instead of being one with the multiverse, bro was one with the shadow realm. Living in Texas you don’t interact with Samoans, but the few I’ve come across were always huge.
But they were always real cool and it seems like they identified with black people.
Apparently there’s an origin story or something within their culture about them descending from Africans or something I don’t know, but CACs beefing with them knowing how chill they are shows who the problem is.

Their last names are nearly identical to traditional last names from some African countries. There's a link missing that would explain it but no one has figured it out yet as far as I know.

But yeah, most of them are just naturally huge. Talented dudes though, with a lot of personality. The more “stoic” ones don’t take much shyt from anybody..
But they remind me of the big country black dudes from the south. Probably one of the few types that could handle them 1v1. I’ve had run-ins but very few and far between and mostly club shyt, but the ones I know are dope ass people that will have your back if you cool/chill.
And they’re not really racist against black people to me BUT there was this thing with dating Samoan women. They are also cool af but I didn’t do that often. They stick to their own usually unless in Cali or if they're the only ones around majority black ppl (speaking on the women). And thats most Polynesian people imo. But you might see some that dislike other races not their own too
