Problems with user smileys (pixel size?)

A lot of the smileys I've downloaded from the coli don't work when I try to upload to my user smileys. I guess it's the pixel size that's the problem? Why would the pixel size be the problem when I'm downloading from the coli? How do I fix this issue?

The Coli's smiley page. Oddly enough I can't find it now. You know that page where people upload their custom smileys for everyone to keep track of? It's pissing me off that I can't upload my smileys to my user smileys bc of pixel size, when I downloaded them from where they were uploaded onto the coli.
