1992 pre-"the Chronic" time. You had hip hop from the South, East and West (digital underground). With some new jack swing. No crazy prom dresses either. Some of the men dancing with each other though.... definitely did not take place in Harlem
It was far from perfect, there was cism and bigotry.
But generally speaking, i swear generation X was probably one of the cooler generation. I'm a millennial so maybe I'm just looking up to older brother...
This was before the cellphone camera era. People weren't afraid to get on the dance floor and suck, then learn how to dance before getting memed and humiliated for the rest of their life.
