I use to think prostitution should be legal but if you look at some of the articles about countries where that happens, all it did was exacerbate the problem. In places like Amsterdam, not only do you have the "legal" brothels, but you have several illegal ones filled with underaged girls. And as for the "legal" ones, many of the women who work there are forced by their pimps. So making it legal just allows the traffickers to make more money, not less.

And make it illegal drives it underground to the point where escorts can't receive help by the police when they need it.

It's the oldest profession for a reason, it's victims will always be hard to pin down. But making it legal just makes it more prolific.

it makes it easier for police to work with them. Regardless, it works better for the women who are willingly involved in it. I can't say the same for sex slaves. but escorts can help by pointing out the pimps and the slaves to police.
