This gen aged the best imo. I bought a used PS3 slim in 2023 and was shocked at just how modern it still feels.

1080p that still looks good on my 4K tv
Upgradeable HDD
Backwards compatibility
Internet browser
Online play

Mind you this console is almost 20 years old. My mind would have been blown buying one of these things in 06/07.

For online gaming that dude in OP is right. But as for gaming overall? Nah. PS2/Dreamcast/Xbox era is the goat.

1st being snes and Genesis.

In the 6th gen we got:

Iconic fighting games like tekken tag, street fighter 3 and marvel vs Capcom 2.

We got iconic shooters like half life 2, doom 3 and halo.

Amazing horror games like silent hill 2 and resident evil 4.

Insane platformers like super Mario sunshine. Ratchet and clank series and Jak series.

Two titanic MMOs (world of war craft and final fantasy XI)

Whatever type of game you liked, you are and ate well in the 6th gen.
