DualShock 4 PS4 Controller and PlayStation Camera Now Available for Purchase in the United States

We reported a couple days ago that the DualShock 4 PS4 controller is available for purchase in Canada, and yesterday the same surfaced about the PlayStation Camera.

Turns out that Canada isn’t the only country where you can get your hands on the coveted PS4 accessories early: the same now goes for the United States, at least at a number of GameStop stores.

Several reports already surfaced that many American GameStop stores are selling them, and they’re also marked as available on the retailer’s website (here and here).

There you have it: if you live in the United States and want to get your hands on a DualShock 4 or a PlayStation Camera early, you may want to give your local store a call and see if they have it available (or check online), as it seems that not every store has availability yet, as verified by our Deputy Editor that was already about to jump on his car and run to the nearest shop in New York.

A quick spot check on the GameStop website revealed that for now availability seems to be focused around the west coast and the central states of the country, but it should spread quickly enough.

The featured picture above, showing the packaging of the accessories for the US (there’s no French language in sight this time around), is courtesy of Twitter user khailcon.

Hi Guys,

Got my controller working wireless via Bluetooth on my PC.

To put the unit in pairing mode you hold Share button (first) + PS button, the unit will start double blinking white LED.

You should then be able to find it under "Add BT Devices".

All buttons function and can be mapped however you want.

Triggers are also still analog (not sure that was known).

The Dualshock 4 controller should work natively via USB or/and bluetooth on Windows (desktop versions), Mac OS X, Ubuntu Linux, Google Chrome OS, iOS, and Android Jellybean 4.2.1 & up.

I'm not sure if it'll work on Windows RT. It definitely won't work on Windows Phone 8, because Windows Phone 8 still doesn't support Bluetooth HID devices.

If I wasn't getting a dualshock 4 PS4 bundle I'd grab one as I desperately need a new PC controller. My Xbox 360 controller(wired) is messed up and keeps disconnecting and I rather use a DS4 than a DS3 on my PC but I just know the lack of a proper driver will cause compatibility issues.

Nah just black I heard. Plus you gotta fukk with it to set it up. basically you can pair it via blutooth and then use x360ce(some program I think to make the PC think it's some X360 controller.)

Well, that's not too much. I just wanted a blue one though.
