PS4 Games Suggestions?

I just bought a PS4 the other day because once they announced Last Of Us 2 and Red Dead Redemption 2 it became a must buy for me. I'm a big fan of Uncharted series and Uncharted 4 came with the PS4 and I just beat it. I havent really kept up with the video game world in the last couple of years so I dont know shyt about any good game to hold me over until one of those 2 games come out I figured you guys would have some solid suggestions.

Uncharted series
Last of Us
Red Dead Redemption
Assasins Creed until that shytty American Revolution one soured me on the franchise
GTA

Thinking of buying Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor and Star Wars Battlefront. Are those games solid? Any other suggestions?

Shadow of Mordor is cool albeit a bit repetitive like those types of games tend to be. If you're interested in that though you should check out Batman. It's made by the same company and plays virtually the same but is a much better game with some great graphics. (The common complaint about batman is the constant use of the batmobile which many didn't particularly enjoy).

The Last Guardian just came so you should definitely be checking for that one if you're interested in exclusives.

Final Fantasy XV is incredible (imo).
Titanfall 2 is a blast and so is Battlefield 1.
Ratchet and Clank is a must have for any PS4 owner.

That's an interesting idea though. Have a thread with the essential games for each system.

Yes, not hard to do. Have a voting system. Redo the thread every 6 months. Im tired of seeing threads like this one. (Minus my thread on must have xbox one games )

I don't like Battlefront and I really don't like SoM, but you can get them for cheap if you want to check them out.

Recs based on what you said:

• AssCreed: Black Flag
• Uncharted Collection
• Bloodborne (this is melee based though, not a shooter)
• The Witcher 3 (WRPG, melee based)
• The two Tomb Raiders
• Ratchet & Clank (cartoony platformer/shooter)
• Dishonored 1 & 2 (stealth based)
• Batman: Arkham Knight (melee based)
• Until Dawn (if you like horror)

The highlighted ones I think you'll definitely like, since you seem to heavily favour action heavy third person shooters.

Both Tomb Raiders, superior to Uncharted so you'll definitely like them at the least.

Shadow of Morder will feel extremely dated, I personally wouldn't bother.

SW Battlefront is for the most part decent, does a great job capturing the feel of Star Wars so if you're a fan of that and enjoy multiplayer FPSs it's worth picking. Especially as it can be had for cheap these days.

Yakuza 0 is coming to the US next month, you might want to give that a look too since you seem to like open world non-linear games
