breh i don't doubt the tech.. i doubt the devs... who have NEVER used the full power of any system ever.... not until maybe the last year of the shytGuess you didn't see the reveal?
Xbox Scorpiois built with direct x12 inside of it. If you remember all the shyt I was talking about tiled resources, directx12 and cloud computing? Welp.. Microsoft made good on all that and we see it flex this year.
In the case of Scorpio, it's basically the original Xbox one only it's capable of running games on max ultra settings on a PC. They don't have to recreate the games because they been preparing for this for years already. Some games needed more work than others but the endgame was to have all games running at a smooth 4k/30fps min. Most at 60tho
That would make sense if it wasn't for graphics being the main selling point hereWhen i get a PS4 Pro I already know what games I'm gonna play:
Uncharted Collection for UC3
Uncharted 4
Uncharted 4 DLC
Uncharted is the only reason I'm buying a PS4 Pro.
Then when Xbox Scorpio drops I'm gonna play:
Halo Master Collection Multiplayer
Halo 5
Halo 6
Halo is the only reason I'm buying an Xbox Scorpio.
First party console exclusives should be the only reason to buy a videogame console.
If you buying one for graphics, that's lazy. Just shows everyone you don't want to put in the work to set up a good gaming PC or that you ain't trying to spend money when trying to customize or fix it.
and that's how I feel like consoles. They're basically all about ease of use. You don't have to fukk with graphics settings etc.

It's 4K now
Yours is checkboard, ours is real
You can watch super hd hdr now
We have a shd bluray and you don't
We are improving the graphics via patch to games
We are adding a boost mode to all games
We are upscaling to 4K

The problem with this argument is that it's based off of a false narrative written by fanboys. That would make sense if it wasn't for graphics being the main selling point here

Hey does that mean all these games will have amazing graphics to the full capability of the system?
Nah don't worry about graphics
If you sell me on the speed of a Lamborghini. I don't want to find out it's 20 mph slower and then you tell me to worry about the sound system
I was only speaking to dude who said buying a Scorpio for graphical improvements was lazy and whatever elseThe problem with this argument is that it's based off of a false narrative written by fanboys.
Nothing here about the capabilities in the PS4 Pro were overstated and/or misleading. It was never touted as the ultimate native 4K gaming machine. You can watch the PS4 Pro Meeting video and the lead system architect said so himself.
It was said to be a half step console that delivered great visuals for 4K TVs and they've achieved that through various means. They didn't say "This is a 100% 4K gaming machine.." and then come months later people found out that wasn't true. this is completely wrong and I keep seeing this false argument brought up here and there.
Almost every game released on the PS4 since the Pro's launch has had a Pro patch that all targets the power differently. Some games got a native 4K option(TLOU:R, The Division, NBA 2k17, ME:SOM, Resogun etc.) Some got a higher res image with visual boosts that uses checkerboard or other rendering methods to look it's best especially on a 4KTV.
Some older games got noticeable improvements via the Boost mode option which works for all games that are not patched.
Games on the PS4 Pro do exhibit amazing graphics to the full capability of the console. Some games offer nearly pristine IQ with their rendering method, some a tad bit lower and some just full blown 4K. I've compared games on the Pro with some PC versions of the same game at native 4K and I'd have to be lying to myself if I said the image looked night and day difference apart. On a computer monitor, zoomed in and things pointed at for reference it'd seem more pronounced because there's something to point at that's close up.
Saying "if you sell me on the speed of a Lamborghini.." is weird because no one ever was selling you on one. An apt analogy would be being sold on an Aston Martin One and you find out that a Bugatti Veyron is 48 miles faster but the Veyron is coming out a year later. The Veyron doesn't make the Aston Martin obsolete but hey it's w/e I'm sure some will just say I'meven though I just bought a GTX 1070 and game on PC a lot
