People who care about resolutions and specs have already done their research. People who show up uniformed don't give a damn and buy the cheapest shyt they see.

And if when they show up the "cheapest shyt" ain't there what they buying?? A Wii U?? You said it yourself they buy the console with the games they want. They either wait or they'll just impulse buy the Xbox One. Plus I highly doubt they left the store without a question asked. I'm sure they asked, "Why is this one $100 more?". Most likely the employee helping them will be informed enough to tell them the Kinect added to the cost. If they are astute they may mention the graphics disparity. Now this situation ain't happening all the time of course but to make it seem like every Xbox 1 purchase was done solely by the same people who don't care about anything and just want games seem contradictory. If they want games they'd go for the cheaper option. If cheaper option isn't there they go to the Xbox 1, simple.

Yeah, around here saying "Xbox is selling just fine" or "price is a factor" is framed as outrageous. But claims of Xbox is gonna fail, covert Xbox employees, conspiracies, amazon is gonna buy Xbox, and other random twitter rumors are all passable.

I'm not going to go there as this was touched upon by @posterchild336 already. Covert xbox employes and conspiracies are all plausible whether you want to acknowledge them or not. The problem you have here is you filter out things that don't fit into your beliefs and you simply lash out at those saying them as "Sony stans" or w/e other juvenile term that fits.

And that's what the overwhelming majority of people did. These consoles are coming off 80million+ in sales. Arguing over 1M units and trying to make broad statements about what they mean 3 months in, before either has been fully rolled out into market yet is silly as hell.

I'm sure the sales gap is more than 1milli .

Making statements about the way things are looking as of now isn't something new.

Nobody said any of that. But it's totally disingenuous to pretend that price isn't a factor. History tells us price is one of the most important factors, and industry analysts (not opinion pieces from fool.com) site price as the biggest factor.

You walk in the store two machines are both playing the games you like. BF4, COD,Madden,2k. One is cheaper, your gonna buy the cheaper one. It's not rocket science

I never said EVERY Xbox purchase was made by anyone. Those are the type claims y'all are making. I simply said price is a huge factor in what people buy. Even for people who have already decided Xbox is their next system $500 is a lot of money, especially the month after the holiday spending season. More so a factor than any of this shyt we are on here talking about

If I say something like "Xbox has only released in 13 countries" which is very relevant to a sales discussions comparing it to a system that's out in 40. I get called an idiot and an irrational fanboy.

The worst about all of this is none of you will admit. I'm sure 6 people are gonna come in and say "look at Meach still trying" or some other canned response, but I'm still the only one here willing to have an open and honest dialog.

price matters more over time as more casuals start showing up to market, but at the start, the early adopter will also weigh in the particulars. early adopters are more likely to know that the xb1 is inferior. the price just adds more insult to injury. same problem for nintendo.

What's wrong with that thread? It was an article posted about a game that's releasing soon and how it relates to an ongoing controversy about games in general. I didn't make any claims about Sony or it's fans. The article was not negative about Sony or it's fans. It was simply an open dialog that should have gained some intelligent responses if people were actually here to discuss video games. But all I got was the usual suspect coming in with insults and the same old BS.

So if you then see me turn around and give out some BS of my own, you know where it's coming from. Difference is I have no problem joking and admitting my own biases. Everybody else likes to pretend saying stuff like" courtdog blah, blah, larrybox" is good conversation from the bottom of their heart.
