Why thoughAt this point I wouldn't buy a PS4 unless it was the Pro model.
Well if the pro is better than I might as well just wait to buy one altogetherAside from graphics and performance benefits:
1TB HD vs 500GB
better wifi support
3 USB ports
i mean idk a Pro is just better to have as a new PS4 owner.

With large purchases like this if you're gonna spend $250 on something spending $150 more to get the more powerful version isn't much. $250 isn't a great deal on a PS4 because if you're really frugal I just sold my PS4 for $200 on CL with a free game so you can do better than $250.Why though
True...I'm not dying to get it.With large purchases like this if you're gonna spend $250 on something spending $150 more to get the more powerful version isn't much. $250 isn't a great deal on a PS4 because if you're really frugal I just sold my PS4 for $200 on CL with a free game so you can do better than $250.
I'd also argue that if you have an Xbox One right now unless there are PS4 games you feel like you need today there's no reason to get a PS4 right now.

Yeah I'm getting the 250 jawn. I'm an Xbox head anyways lolMore powerful how...and unless you have a 4k TV what are the benefits...PS$ games will play on this version just as the new one....500GB seems enough.![]()
There are obvious benefits to people with 1080p sets such as downsampling and options like in Rise of the Tomb Raider which has 3 different game modes where you can get unlocked framerate mode, 4K mode, and high performance 1080p mode. When the developers start developing games for both consoles instead of patching old games you'll see gains regardless of 1080p or 4K.More powerful how...and unless you have a 4k TV what are the benefits...PS$ games will play on this version just as the new one....500GB seems enough.![]()
Quick Q on this: How quiet? Before I sold my PS4 it sounded like an airplane taking off, even it wasn't reading a disc. I know the PS4 slim is dead silent. PS4 Pro gotta be too right?PS4 Pro Benefits for 1080p TV Owners (general and game-specific)
PS4 Pro Features (4K TV not required)
- Even if a game merely patches in a 4K mode, it will be downsampled to 1080p on a 1080p set which is generally a huge boost to IQ
- Some games (such as Rise of the Tomb Raider) are providing a choice over visual modes. The player can choose between a focus on resolution, frame rate, or other graphical enhancements.
- Improved Wifi (5ghz) from OG PS4 and same as the Slim. Source: PS4 Pro will support 1080p Share Play and Remote Play, in addiction to 5GHz WiFI
- Quieter system than OG PS4
- Extra USB port (in the back)
- PSVR gaming is visually enhanced. Here is a thread with specific VR game enhancements: PlayStation VR PS4 pro benefits
- 1080p/60fps remote play
- Has an optical audio port (unlike the PS4 Slim)
- Better quality video clips through Share button (1080p @ 30fps)
- Ability to stream at 1080p with 60fps
- Faster SSD / SSHD game loading through new SATA III port
- 1 GB of new standard RAM is added to the system. The net result is approx. 512 MB of GDDR5 RAM freed up for games. The rest of the added RAM is for other purposes (OS, 4K). Source: http://www.polygon.com/2016/10/21/13...ra-ram-memory/
- Improved DS4 controller included (Slim too), with a more accessible light bar and lower latency when connected by cable (doesn't force Bluetooth)

EDIT: vid
Okay definitely let me know cause honestly if this thing is as loud as the OG PS4 I'll just get a slim. I can't go back to putting my volume on 80 to drown it outI doubt it. I'll let you know in a few hours when my backup of my current PS4 is done and moved over to the Pro. It still hasn't been opened yet.
