With the Switch 2 otw and new models of the PS5 incoming, the x-box hardware situation is only going to get more painful.
They clearing out the old SKU's for the new streamlined models. I bought 2 before came up a few hundred, will wait for the slim/pro they always perfect the consoles after the mid generation streamline/re-model.

Yeah they must be trying to clear out these older models before a revamp.
Clearly trying to target kids going to college and get them hooked into the ps5 ecosystem and not lose them to Starfield and Xbox. It also increases their install base for the newest Spider-Man game.

It’s about capturing new gamers. College kids don’t generally have multiple systems. They usually have whatever they get when they go to school and if they want to play something else hope their roommate has it or one of their suite mates.Yeah, i don’t think they have to worry about that
