What did you guys think of Kane's post-mask gimmick? I was maybe 9-10 when he first took his mask off and it absolutely scared the holy shyt out of me, my cousin and I were legit like



And then when he set JR on fire



And then he tombstoned Linda McMahon



Then....HE ELECTROCUTED THIS nikka SHANES NUTSACK



For me this was by far the best thing Kane had ever done, his fued with Shane was so fukking entertaining, and for 9 year old me dude was scary as fukk. After the Shane fued cooled down he honestly should've been in the title hunt or something but they had him in a bunch of bullshyt with Lita and Snitsky and shyt but

wasnt feeling him the second they started switching his outfits up and going against the original burned all of his body angle

it worked the first time but after awhile it was the same shyt over and over. every time they wanted to re-establish him as a formidable threat they would either just take the mask off or put it back on. feels like dude has been masked and unmasked like a hundred times already.

JR and King desperately trying to sell a normal Glen Jacobs with a goofy haircut and some ash on his face as a disfigured monster is one of the lamest things ever. They knew how much of a fail it was so in subsequent video packages they went and applied a cheap editing effect on him for the whole sequence

Those first 3 months after he lost that mask were the main reason to watch RAW in 03

Them bringing him to the arena in shackles was DOPE. One of my favorite wrestling walkouts was when he came out to wrestle RVD a few weeks after he lost the mask



Kane was THAT dude during this entrance.

Yeah on the one hand, I wished they had the foresight to keep up with the "there's nothing wrong with you" the whole time because it made sense and was a good way to play around with psychology and shyt

On the other hand, they had to make Kane's face shocking so the moment would be exciting, had they not done it like that, the moment wouldn't have been as good
