Good point as he started out writing for female rappers (not uncommon back in the day)His career confuses me. I've been a fan of him for about 30 years. His album King of NY was about to drop in 1996 and he did all he could to get off the label because he said(from an interview) hedidn't want to do this type of music(and "money don't make the world stop" was a hot ass single that got a lot of buzz). He said he wanted to do more street music. Now he's doing this type of music with singing on the hooks that the girls love. Why didn't he just honor the contract with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis being that hip hop instantly changed a year later with Puff and Master p blowing up?
