Nah, he helped him out in a major way.

Without Puffy Biggie would've been like a Redman; a very talented underground lyricist respected among his peers with gold records without any hit records or commercial appeal. Puffy helped Biggie out in a major way by making him more accessible.

Huh?

We were talking about how Biggie's career first and what role Puff played in Biggie's career. Now I'm not sure how the conversation went elsewhere.

Im saying I would rather have had biggie drop gold type of albums with all street shyt, then get some platinum plaques with that snake puffy get a platnium and end up dead

I understand what you're saying about wanting to hear Biggie just dropping "gold type of albums with all street sh*t" but Puffy knew that Biggie wouldn't have gained the type of cross over appeal if he didn't do joints like "Hypnotize", "Big Poppa" or "One More Chance". Party and club records like those are important because they helped the artist reach and gain fans that they might not otherwise if they only stayed in one lane with their music.

Biggie could have only done "gold type of albums with all street sh*t" and still passed away. Nobody knows the future and what will be.
