Meant to ask this in your thread, in the booth. What did you think about the whole TLC situation. How common was it for artist to get exploited the way they did. What should they have done differently, and are all these people get record deals from American Idol / reality tv shows still getting exploited the same way?

The deal TLC got was the same deal many other artist got in the 90's. Ceelo was on the Breakfast Club and said Goodie Mob got the same deal TLC got however they were no where near as successful as TLC so less people gave a shyt and they renegotiated their contract. It wasn't until Master P and NO Limit came out in the late 90s where artist starting getting the idea of starting their own labels and getting distribution thru majors while owning their masters.
