So you got one of the hottest rappers in the world like a year into his success and you’d be happy to hear him talking about branching off? lol
Biggie was eventually gonna want to have his own label when seeing his other peers be bosses
Eminem had no issue with Gunit.
50 was still on Shady Aftermath though right? And all the G-Unit projects were still on Interscope.
Puff knew if Big ever got that label off the ground he was done what up and coming artist wasn't going to fukk with BIG?

BIG was doing the smart thing. He was on FIRE at the time, so why not put his crew on and make money together?
It's mentioned in old articles that Puff wasn't fond of Un. So his reaction might have more to do with that than anything. Though, it's not a coincidence that Big brought his spinoff groups to another label and NOT under Bad Boy.
History repeated itself when the next Bad Boy superstar put his crew on with Jermaine Dupri, and NOT under Puff.
